About Brisbane
Mantra on Mary positions you so close to everything that is Brisbane. Jump on the city cat and take in the sights, with the Brisbane River offering a great way to get around. You can head on out to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, a great day out particularly if you take the ferry as you can enjoy the scenery on the way, or it is just a 30 minute drive if you have your own vehicle.
When it comes to entertainment Brisbane is brimming with exciting choices around each and every corner. Whatever you're into, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Games galore about to be found, including Solve & Unlock which is great for all ages. Then there's Breakout Brisbane or Circus Arts in Adderley should you find it of interest.
For art and culture there is always an interesting exhibition at the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) and the Performing Arts Centre stages world class performances year round. For those after a spot of shopping, there’s no better place than the nearby Queen Street Mall, if you’re into the funky and fabulous venture a little further to Fortitude Valley for an intriguing mixture of eclectic shops and vibrant live music.
Stop by the Science Centre or the Maritime Museum situated at Southbank or head on up to Mt Cootha and visit the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium. If you’re into markets you’ll be in your element in Brisbane with Southbank markets on Friday nights and Sunday. Eagle Farm Market is another great Sunday destination, as are the Boggo Road Jail Markets at Dutton Park.
